Dirkettes,
Dirk has sent us all a holiday greeting! He knew we were having our
Christmas Chat Party today and sent us a little present!
HOLIDAY MESSAGE FROM DIRK:
"This time of year is, of course, always a time when we tend to think
about things other than the day to day business of "living", making a
living, getting by, getting even or just getting out of bed. A time
when we reflect on those in our lives and what they mean to us. I
think it is sometimes stressful because we don't like what we see in
this reflection. I believe that life is inherently difficult and
full
of sadness and that it is the challenge of all of us to rise above
this and be joyous in spite of it. "Joyful participation in the
sorrow". Everyone's life has sorrow in it and it is our choice
whether to be happy in the face of it or give in and be unhappy and
sad. And when we do decide to be positive and joyous in spite of our
hardships, the Universe, or God, takes notice and participates in
giving us those "miracles" we all have experienced when we survive
difficulties we never thought our selves capable of surviving. But
we
must take the first step by saying "yes" to life, by sharing a smile,
spreading the joy. So I am grateful for all of those who have sent
their positive energies my way in the midst of living their very busy
lives. I thank those of you who have taken the time, and spent the
hard earned money, to read my two books and hope that they have been
enjoyed and in some measure life affirming.......
